Frank A. Bettmann has practiced law for more than 35 years. Although born in Kansas, Bettmann has spent most of his life living and working in South Dakota.
He began his studies at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and later transferred to the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1977 and his Master of Public Administration in 1978 from USD. Mr. Bettmann then earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Idaho in Moscow. He soon returned to Rapid City where he served as a Deputy States Attorney until 1983.
Since then, Mr. Bettmann has been in private practice. He is licensed to practice law in South Dakota and Nebraska trial and appellate courts, as well as federal courts in South Dakota. He also holds a license to practice in the Eighth Circuit United States Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Bettmann’s resume encompasses several aspects of law. He is highly experienced in business management and estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, and probate administration. He has also represented clients in corporate and commercial cases, civil and criminal trials, and personal injury matters with a focus on motorcycle accidents. He has represented clients internationally in the business arena and has extensive experience in both litigation and appeals.
